Hasanuddin Economics and Business Review (Hasanuddin Econ. Bus. Rev. - HEBR) is an international, open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research on economic and business transformation in emerging markets and the Global South, with particular relevance to Southeast Asia. Published by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Hasanuddin University, Indonesia, HEBR is issued triannually.

HEBR bridges theory and practice by advancing rigorous empirical and conceptual studies that explain how institutions, governance arrangements, cultural contexts, and local economic conditions interact with global forces and shape development trajectories, organisational outcomes, and market behaviour. The journal supports research aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals where findings inform policy-making and sustainable business practice. HEBR accepts quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method research designs, provided they demonstrate methodological rigour and transparent reporting.

HEBR covers the fields of Economics, Business and Finance, with a particular focus on:
