HEBR (Hasanuddin Economics and Business Review) utilizes multiple systems to ensure the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content.
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries. This allows those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for the purposes of preservation and restoration.
HEBR is committed to ensuring the permanent availability and preservation of scholarly research. To this end, we continuously upgrade and convert digital file formats in accordance with the latest technology standards. We work both independently and in partnership with preservation organizations to maintain a comprehensive digital archive.
HEBR maintains multiple secure backups of its entire website content and published manuscripts. All electronic content (including website files, manuscripts, and metadata) is stored on three separate sources:
- One primary server provides online access to readers.
- Two secondary sources serve as backups.
- In the event of a server failure, the site can be restored and made accessible within 24–36 hours.
HEBR supports self-archiving and encourages authors to disseminate their work. Authors are allowed and encouraged to deposit the final published version (publisher’s PDF) of their articles in:
- Personal websites
- Institutional repositories
- Disciplinary repositories
Please ensure that full bibliographic information is provided when self-archiving, and that the journal (HEBR) is properly cited as the original place of publication.
HEBR is registered and listed in the Keepers Registry, ensuring that its content is included in trusted digital preservation services.
