Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is a method of temporary contraception that is quite effective, as long as the client has not menstruation and the time is less than six months postpartum. Effective can reach 98%. The use of the Amenorrhoea Lactation Method is supported by exclusive breastfeeding. The more frequent breastfeeding with a frequency of ± 10-12 at one day will provid e benefits as one contraception. The type of this study was observational analytic using  cross-sectional study design, this study was carried out in the working area of  Huta Baginda public health centre Tapanuli Utara  2019. Based on the results of statistical tests between exclusive breastfeeding and the success of amenorhoe lactation KB shows that there is an influence with the P value (p = 0.008) The success of family planning amenorhoe lactation is strongly influenced by the frequency of breastfeeding in the working area of Huta Baginda public health centre Tapanuli Utara. The majority of mothers do not give exclusive breastfeeding. Most of them have to trade in the market and farm so that children are often left with other family members at home, thus it is only natural that the success of amenorhoe lactation is not achieved even though routine breastfeeding ≥ 12 times at one  day using the on demand method will achieve two objectives, namely Exclusive breastfeeding in infants and the success of lactation amenoerhoe birth control in mothers without having to spend money to buy formula milk and become KB acceptors.
