[ Abstract ]

MICA (major histocompatibility complex class I-chain related A) is a ligand of NKG2D receptor that play an important role in cancer immunesurveillance. The aim of this research are to examine MICA expression on invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast and to compare MICA expression according to histopathologic grading f invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast . As many as 47 samples consist of  17 samples of low grade invasive ductal carcinoma, 20 samples of  moderate grade invasive ductal carcinoma and 10 samples of high grade invasive ductal carcinoma stained with MICA immunohistochemistry. Statistical analysis revealed  there is a significant association between MICA expression and histopathologic features and there are significant differences between MICA expression among those histopathologic grade that is between low grade  invasive ductal carcinoma and  moderate grade invasive ductal carcinoma.

[ Abstrak ]

MICA (major histocompatibility complex class I-chain related A) merupakan ligan reseptor NKG2D yang berperan penting dalam immunesurveillance kanker. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat ekspresi MICA pada karsinoma invasif duktal payudara dan membandingkan ekspresi MICA pada masing-masing gambaran derajat  histopatologi karsinoma duktal invasif  payudara. Sebanyak 47 sampel karsinoma duktal invasif payudara yang terdiri dari 17 sampel karsinoma duktal invasif derajat rendah, 20 sampel karsinoma duktal invasif derajat sedang,  dan 10 sampel karsinoma duktal invasif derajat tinggi diwarnai dengan imunohistokimia MICA. Dengan analisa statistik didapatkan hubungan yang bermakna antara ekspresi MICA dengan gambaran histopatologi serta terdapat perbedaan ekspresi MICA yang bermakna antara masing-masing grading histopatologi yaitu antara karsinoma invasif duktal derajat rendah dengan derajat tinggi.
